Guadeloupe

Felt immediately at home and with such a set up, the jet-lag disappeared very quickly.

I found the vegetation absolutely fantastic

It took a good hour through fields and woods to reach this absolutely remote beach. It was very wild.

I was not overly impressed by the food. I was expecting something more exotic. The Pastis was good though and made up for a lot.

and there were some other compensations

I also made almost immediately a Twitter friend

Short flight to hop from one island to the other

Martinique

Not as good a hotel as I would have liked, more like a holiday club place.

We found some nice resorts

Met up with old friends (or rather sister of old friend). It was nice to meet Ann.
