Went for my first long walk early this morning in Quito. Despite the Bank Holiday today a few shops are opened. Maybe I was too early for the main shopping mall.

I though I should try to get myself a pre-paid SIM card for my phone (the Samsung S3 with micro card). There is no way, all they have is the standard SIM card as pre-paid and despite the fact that they sell all the phones taking the micro cards…

Hard to believe. As all my friends in Asia know, that would not be an issue at all. If a micro card was not available, the standard one would immediately be cut to size.

So I am going out again to buy a sharp knife and I’ll do it myself.
