Left shortly after breakfast (excellent by the way) for New Orleans

Quite a short drive compared to some of the other days. The hotel Maison Dupuy in the middle of the French quarter is great and is exactly what I was hoping for. It is our home for the next 2.5 days.

Met up with Joerg and Tine as we were parking the car.

So now we are complete. The six of us had a short walk around the French Quarter to find a water hole.

The place is simply a big party with so many bars and restaurants and people celebrating.

We settled for an Irish bar / courtyard for a few beers

Had a great evening. I think we celebrated Sylvia’s birthday in style. I love this town. So much going on.

I think that’s where the name of fire water comes from
