Exactly 24 hours ago, Yves Le Blevec left for a record attempt non stop around the world.
Unlike Francois Gabart mentioned in one of my earlier post, Yves is taking the “reverse” route i.e East to West against the dominating winds and currents.
The theoratica distance is 24.389 nautical miles which translates into 45.168 kilometers.
The record to beat is 122 Days, 14 Hours and 3 minutes from 2004 held by (guess what) a Frenchman (despite the name): Jean Luc Van den Heede.
