At this time last year I arranged a whisky tasting at home for a few of my friends to help one of them discover the joys of this amber liquid. I think it was a success.

We have now decided to have a repeat session but this time with Rum.

First hurdle is how do you spell it?

The answers are: Rhum in French, Rum in English, Ron in Spanish.

Then there is the question of which type?

Light, Dark, Amber, Spiced, Flavored, Overproof, Premium.

More research needed and possibly private tasting before I can come up with a decent selection.
