San Francisco

The plan which actually went perfectly well was to fly to Chicago and visit some friends for a couple of days before embarking on a 2 nights train journey to Los Angeles. Stay in LA for a couple of days and then slowly drive up Route 1 to San Francisco with a couple of overnight stops en route. We were lucky enough to be able to hire a nice convertable which we drove open for the next 7 days.

Not my first time at the Golden Gate bridge. It does not change much over the years.

We took a very pleasant bus tour around town. This spot has a nice view of San Francisco.
