Red alert is still on although it has now stopped raining.

I went out before going to bed to check the situation. Our house is less than 400 meters from the river and the water was already creeping up the street. The road parallel to that one was even worse with the first block completely covered. We had 4 electricity power outages during the evening.

As a results of storm Gloria currrently hitting our part of Europe, rivers are beginning to seriously bust their banks. This applies as well to the river Aude. I went out to have a look earlier this afternoon and take a couple of photos.

I also have a couple of short videos which can be seen here and here.

The company I’m working for, being close to the Aude, we’ve been sent home at noon, as the parking was already flooded. We first have been asked to put our cars on the higher part of the field, closer to the road. Then, things were gettin worse, and the office building was menaced to be flooded. We were asked to come to work tomorrow, if the situation is «workable»… Let’s see… ________________________________ De : I do it my way Envoyé : mercredi 22 janvier 2020 18:01:14 À : siegrid.liminet@hotmail.fr Objet : [New post] Floods
