The 1st weekend in confinement is upon us. For those living in Carcassonne, no café Saillan today. The market is on I have been told by my wife who was there early this morning. Make the most of it as it might be the last time. It all depends on people’s behaviour today i.e simple rules of distancing oneself from other people.

► Fake: There is a fake exemption certificate circulating on the web. It has 2 additional grounds/reasons. It is of course invalid.

► News: There are talks of imposing a curfew. In fact the town of Nice has taken a first step and imposed it at night.

► Documents: The exemption document,if you are interested, is now available in English on the webpage of the Préfecture de l’Aude.

► Do not forget: If you need to go out

► Distance from home: If you go out for exercising, the maximum 1km to 2km distance as mentionned by the sports minister is still valid. However since there is no written down rule, I suspect each gendarme might have his/her own interpretation. Just for fun I drew on a map what 1km and 2km radius would mean from my house.
