Saturday March 28th
Do not forget that tonight we switch to Summer Time
(Here is an easy way to remember Spring forward, fall backwards) which means we shall have 1 hour of confinement less.
Not too much news this morning apart from the fact that it is official and we have to face an additional 2 weeks of confinement and it probably will be extended again.
I thought our video conference “virtual apéritif” went vey well last evening. At one point I saw that we had 11 logged in and since it was mostly pairs it meant around 20 people. I also know that some had difficulty logging in like Polly who contacted me during the meeting. A particular thanks to Vibeke for organising the good technical side of things.
We certainly need to do this again since we are stuck at home. I have already spoken to Michael who will serenade us in the next video call.
This post will be updating during the day if new information is available

►Information: Restaurants
I have been doing some research but I have not found, as I thought I had seen, restaurants which do deliveries or drive in take aways. There are a few Pizza places and a couple of kebab kiosks which deliver as usual but nothing else.
Have any of you used “Sacré Fernand” for collecting your shopping or in normal times collect ordered dishes from restaurants? It is new to me although I have used similar services many times in China 10 years ago.
►Information: Government home page
The government information page has been completely reviewed and updated overnight. It is much clearer. There are also posts in English as well as a link to the latest exemption certificate in French / English.
►Information: Halles Prosper Montagné
Following the request for exemption formulated by the Mayor of Carcassonne and accepted today by Mrs. La Préfète de l’Aude, the Halles Prosper Montagné will remain open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7am to 2pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 7am to 2.30pm. This is in order to respond, in the midst of a health crisis, to the need to supply the population living in the town centre, and in particular the elderly who might have difficulties going outside the Bastide.
►Information: Carcassonne Restaurants with Take Away during the confinement.
As promised last evening, I am looking into this. I am sure I have seen some info somewhere.
►Information: Official and news sites.
