I was slightly bored yesterday morning so I re-designed slightly the “Confinement Posts” layout. A new look for the first day of the prolonged confinement period of 4 weeks (until Monday May 11th) as announced on TV last evening by the President Mr Macron.

✒︎ Public places, restaurants, cafés, hotels, cinemas, theatres, concert halls will, however, remain closed also after May 11th. Festivals will be cancelled until at least mid-July.

✒︎ People at risk with ongoing conditions will still need to be confined after May 11th unless overall conditions change.

✒︎ EU borders remain closed. London was mentioned so I can only assumed the UK is still considered as part of the EU for these measures.

✒︎ The use of digital tracking methods are being developed and will be introduced on a volunteer basis.

✒︎ Within 2 weeks a plan for coming out of confinement will be announced

✒︎ By May 11th, everyone showing some symptoms will have access to a test

✒︎ Schools will start re-opening from May 11th onwards. That does not apply to universities at this stage. It is unlikely the later will reopen before the summer.

▶︎ I guess more news will be available in particular from the region / town of Carcassonne when they have had a chance to sit down in the townhall.

▶︎ I suspect the Festival in July must be canceled as well the fireworks. They both bring too big a crowd.

I am sure you can understand the menu although written in French. It is available for delivery or take away.
