Day 39
A lot of speculations and wasted breath on the subject of de-confinement from journalist who obviously have nothing to report. The governement is sticking to its guns and is working with responsible partners to come up with a plan as announced by the end of the month. There might be an announcement next Tuesady (not confirmed yet).
I cannot avoid but playing with numbers. At the average hospitalisation rate of decrease in the past 14 days in Occitanie it would last 2 months before we have no patients. At the rate experienced last week, it would be 28 days. I vote for a very strict de-confinement rules.

▶︎ Masks
I expect we might here today from the Mairie in Carcassonne about the availability of masks or at least how the distribution / sale will be done. The weekly bulletin from the mairie comes out every Friday. Looking forward to read it.
In theory masks for the general public should be availablre for sale as of May 4th. Through which channels is not really known yet.
▶︎ Supplies
Although there is nothing about masks in the afore mentioned weekly bulletin (my weekly email from the mairie just arrived) , there is an updated list of places where you can:
- Get deliveries from
- Pick-up from
and so on…
A lot of good information and you should for sure check the page out.
▶︎V&B Carcassonne
Well as planned, I placed my order by email yesterday, got a confirmation by return email as well as the bill to be paid by Paypal and I am expecting delivery later this morning.
12:30 Door bell. My beer has arrived. Shame I have to drink that on my own.
As a bonus and thank you for ordering, they included 6 artisanally made saucissons
That’s service.
