April has certainly been a long “confinement” month and hopefully May will bring some good news and a more relaxed lock-down.

Obviously all planned trips and holidays for the month have been cancelled. The highlight would have been a trip by car to Italy to meet up with some UK friends. A house was rented and a few plans were afoot.

Instead, we shall stay at home. Hopefully we shall be allowed to travel further afield than the 1km limit we have today. It has been announced that up to 100km might be possible. I hope so. We would be able to go to the seaside and even if the beaches are closed, a long walk along the coastal paths might do us good.
