Day 49 in Carcassonne
🇫🇷
1st Day of the 8th week of confinement
So here we go, we start the eight week of confinement. Hopefully next week will see some relaxing of the current rules. I am quite happy with that on one hand and fairly pessimistic on the other hand. I fear people will over do it and throw all cautions overboard.
Looking forward to the press announcement from our Mayor (which according to his Facebook post on Sunday) is scheduled for today but on the other hand his office knew nothing about this. I had an exchange of emails with them yesterday (it keeps me busy) and am now waiting to hear from them what their information policy is.
in the meantime, if something transpires, I shall update this post and advise.
The “départements” confinement map has not changed yesterday and still shows Green=50, Orange=10, Red=32.
I mentioned a couple of days ago a very good article on the differences between France and Germany. I have in the meantime finished translating it and you can find the 🇬🇧version here.
