Today is Ascencion day, a bank holiday and also father’s day if you live in Germany. The bank holiday part does not make any real change to our current day to day life at this time of confinement.
EasyJet just announced that planes will be able to take off again. The British airline announced that it intends to resume certain flights from 15 June, mainly on routes “within the United Kingdom and France”.
I have taken the opportunity to taste the whisky which was offered to me and I must says it is really worth it. Strong but smooth and an extremely pleasant after taste.
I shal treasure the ret of the bottle for special occasions.

MODALITIES FOR THE RE-OPENING OF THE FOREIGNERS’ OFFICE OF THE PREFECTURE
DE L’AUDE AS OF TUESDAY 02 JUNE 2020
From the 2nd of June, the reception of the foreigners’ service of the Aude prefecture will be strictly limited to appointments and titles withdrawals.
All residence permits, receipts, provisional residence permits and long-stay visas, which expired between 16 March and 15 June 2020, are extended by 6 months; the certificates of application asylum applications that expired between 16 March and 15 June 2020 are extended by 3 months.
Any person whose appointment was scheduled between March 16 and June 15, 2020 will have to make a further appointment which will be fixed from September 15, 2020, via the functional mailbox : pref-etrangers@aude.gouv.fr
Inquiries and appointment requests should be sent by e-mail. Exchanges of foreign driving licences will only be made by way of mail.

The Prefect Sophie Elizéon signed between Monday 18 May and this Wednesday 20 May a series of decrees which extend the number of natural and cultural sites concerned by derogatory authorizations of access or opening.
On 15 May, the Prefect of the Aude, Sophie Elizéon, signed a decree signifying the opening of access to numerous beaches along the Aude coast, reminding us of the importance of respecting barrier gestures and physical distance. Sites where walking, swimming, leisure fishing, individual sports and leisure activities and boating were authorised. On the other hand, sunbathing; the hiring of deckchairs and mattresses; groups of more than 5 people; group sports and activities; picnics; barbecues; the consumption of alcohol; any festive practice; the circulation and parking of motorised vehicles were forbidden.
On Tuesday 19 May, a new prefectoral decree was issued to extend the list of beaches and bodies of water of the coastal municipalities concerned by these authorisations, including the Grazel beach in Gruissan. A new article also specifies that nautical activities are authorised after the opinion of the mayor of the municipality if the establishment of physical and sports activities (EAPS) has and applies a plan for the prevention and protection of the risk of human-to-human contamination and a protocol of sanitary measures defined by the sports federation.

Commune of Bages: pond of Bages-Sigean.
Commune of Fleury d’Aude: beach of Saint-Pierre la mer; beach of Cabanes; pond of Pissevaches.
Commune of Gruissan: Mateille Nord beach; Mateille Sud beach; Chalets beach; Vieille Nouvelle beach; Grazel beach; Ayrolle pond; Mateille pond; Ayguades pond; Rue du Fortin lake; port and fore-port lake.
Commune of La Palme: beach of the Rouet; pond of La Palme; pond of the Salins.
Commune of Leucate: beach of Coussoules; beach of Leucate-Plage; beach of Mouret; beach of the naturist zone; beach of Port-Leucate; pond of Salses Leucate.
Commune of Narbonne: Narbonne Plage beach; pond of Bages and Port de la Nautique.
Commune of Peyriac-de-Mer: pond of Bages-Sigean, pond of Doul.
Commune de Port la Nouvelle: Vieille Nouvelle beach; Front de mer beach; Montilles beach; harbour channel.
Commune de Sigean: étang de Bages-Sigean; Port Mahon.
Another new derogation in terms of leisure activities, with a decree authorising the gradual resumption of pleasure boating on the Canal des Deux-Mers. The prefectoral decree, signed this Wednesday 20 May, thus authorises the navigation of passenger boats of tourist type, without catering or berths, without crossing navigational structures; the wearing of a protective mask is obligatory for all persons over 11 years of age. The text lays down the same provisions for pleasure boats and craft, whether privately owned or hired, recalling that the rule of limited movement within a radius of 100 km also applies.
Finally, on Monday 18 May, a series of prefectoral decrees granted derogatory authorisations to open a multitude of , while recalling the ban on gatherings of more than 10 people: Fontfroide Abbey, the castles of Saissac, Lastours, Aguilar (commune of Tuchan), Peyrepertuse (commune of Duilhac), the parts and private areas of Lagrasse Abbey, the Essar(t)s site in Bram, the museum on the estate of Abbot Saunière in Rennes-le-Château.
