Day 71 and 3rd day of de-confinement week 3

The Prime Minister M. Edourd Phlippe will make the scheduled announcement on the 2nd phase of de-confinement at 17:00 later today. There are a lot of expectations in particular from bars and restaurants. I shall of course watch his intervention and report and if possible translate his speech.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday evening watching NASA TV and the countdown for the lift off of the Space X manned rocket. The launch was cancelled 13′ before due time because of the weather. Next attempt on Saturday. This time I’ll switch on 5 minutes before the scheduled start.

Stop Covid application (track & trace) has been approved yesterday by the French parliement and should be available to download and use by the weekend. I shall use it.

EasyJet announced on Thursday that it was cutting 4,500 jobs, nearly a third of its workforce, to cope with the shock of the coronavirus pandemic. EasyJet, whose business has been at a standstill for weeks, intends to preserve its finances and adapt to lower air traffic over a long period.

With this fine weather, what better than Occitan cherries to end the meal on a light and sweet note 🍒
