Day 81 – 6th day of de-confinement phase II

Mother’s day

The demonstrations in the USA and around the world in the past few days have eclipsed the Corona Virus news.

The sad part about it all is that it is not new and I vividly remember 1968 (for many reasons) and the protests at the time on exactly the same issues. I moved to Philapelphia (City of Brotherly Love) 4 years later and came across a lot of discrimination and I thought at the time that things would not change in the near future. Here we are 50 years later.

Information, news and tips

Clusters: Proof that the virus is far from gone is the number of so-called clusters which is slowly increasing still. On June 3rd there were 150 of them on all the French territiries of which 142 in France (Metropole). There is even 1 in our Aude departement which represents around 30 cases in Castelnaudary in the Foreign Legion camp. It is somethign to be watched carefully I think in particualr with the summer holidays coming and the fairly large number of demonstrations seen during the past few days.
