It is interesting to note that between 1ᵉʳ May and 1 June 2020, 49,178 deaths were recorded in France 3% less than in 2019.

France will lift at midnight on 15 June all traffic restrictions put in place to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

People coming from countries in the European area (European Union member states as well as Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican) will therefore be able to enter French territory without restrictions, with the exception of Spain and the United Kingdom. As these two countries apply restrictions, France will continue to apply reciprocity.

Spain has chosen to maintain its traffic restrictions until 21 June, air passengers from Spain will in turn be invited to make a fortnight’s quarantine in France on arrival until 21 June. Passengers from the United Kingdom will no longer be subject to entry restrictions into France from 15 June but will remain, “until further notice”, invited to observe a fortnight quarantine on arrival. I am not too sure how that can work.

► OPERATION -50% FROM 12 TO 23 JUNE 2020

In order to help small businesses to restart their activity after a long period of confinement and a health crisis that is turning into a real economic crisis in certain sectors day after day, the City of Carcassonne is launching the “-50% at my shopkeeper’s” operation.
The principle is simple: the city is offering you to buy vouchers worth €20 sold for €10 valid in participating shops from 12 to 23 June 2020.

You pay 10€ per voucher for a value of 20€.
You pay for your purchase with this voucher,
The merchant will receive from the City a payment of 20€ for each voucher collected. The city finances each voucher to the amount of 10€.

How do I buy these vouchers?
Monday to Thursday from 9am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 5.30pm (except on Friday when it closes at 12pm) – Payment by credit card or cash only at the “Reconquête Bastide” 35 rue Aimé Ramond in Carcassonne
