Day 87 – 12th day of de-confinement phase II

In order to help the intermittents du spectacle of the territory, of the region and to energize the town of Carcassonne and its shops during the summer, the City decided to elaborate in record time an exceptional and unique event in France to date entitled “Les Rencontres Culturelles d’Occitanie à Carcassonne“.


1 month of 100% free shows and concerts in 5 places in the city with a program mainly focused on local and regional artists (Occitania).


From 8 July to 8 August 2020, every evening, the inhabitants of Carcassonne and tourists will be able to attend more than 74 free shows 100% made in Occitania (theatre, jazz, contemporary music, classical music, brass bands…).

Place Carnot – Place Marcou – Hôtel de Rolland – St Vincent Church – Stroll on Chénier.

► There are 32,000 of them in France and every second 320 baguettes are bought from one of these bakers. For the eighth season, M6 TV is renewing one of its flagship programmes devoted to cooking, “The best bakery in France”. Filming interrupted by the coronavirus has resumed since 25 May and broadcasts on the television channel will begin in mid-August. The Papineau bakery in Carcassonne is taking part.
