Day 94 – 7th day of de-confinement phase III

Sunday

Five regions have a reproduction rate higher than 1 between 6 and 12 June, according to the French Public Health report published on Friday 19 June. “In Normandy, the effective reproduction rate of the virus has increased significantly in the last week, to exceed the alert threshold set at 1.5,” the DGS said in an alert published on Friday 19 June. This figure, corresponding to the number of people that a positive case will infect, is now 1.6.”

The four other regions where the effective R indicator is greater than 1 are: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (1.02), Occitania (1.51), Martinique (1.57) and French Guiana (2.59). In these territories, “the virus is actively circulating”, stresses the DGS.

The French daily average of new cases in still increasing.

A sure indication that the virus is still very active also remembering that the true figure is probably much higher since there is no sytematic testing

The number of clusters in 🇫🇷 is still on the increase

Should one consider volontary re-confinement? As a person at risk, age, diabetes etc, it would be wiser to do so. I did not feel too comfortable yesterday morning in the 1st Saturday opening of Café Saillan. It was however good to see people out and life getting back to a kind of normality. Maybe it is going to quickly.

What is the general opinion on this?
