

Day 142 – 55th day of de-confinement phase III

Away for a few days to enjoy the other side of the South of France on the Côte d’Azur and taking the opportunity to visit friends and family.

Despite the fact that the COVID-19 is spreading and famous records of infections are being broken in parts of the world there are not so many signs here that people really care. Life carries on as normal. It is holiday time in France after all.
Even in our group of friends earlier this week back home, quite a few of us went to the lake’s bistro to see the band Coverall doing a gig. This is one of my favorite spot for this type of event.
There was regrettably absolutely no social distancing possible or actually observed. I think all basic rules were broken that evening. Group larger than 10, service at the bar, not enough room to ensure 1 metre distance between people and nevertheless no mask wearing. Even the greeting “bises/ kisses” were back.
We need to be far more careful
