In my case, it was only 100 km away. Spent the day at the “Cité de l’Espace” (Space City) in Toulouse. I have been meaning to visit the place since we moved to this part of the world 3 years+ ago.

Quite a few nice exhibits including a replica of the MIR space station as well as a Soyuz ship. It is incredible how little space there is in those.

A worthwhile visit which also included a show in the Planetarium as well as a film in the IMAX cinema.
