✒︎ Carte de séjour
For those of you needing a carte de séjour or simply renew it, after 3 failed attempts the official web site will re-open on October 15th.
There is also a new decree in the making affecting the Brits in view of Brexit which will specify new minimum earnings required to live in France. I am not aware of any timing but it will be before year end.
✒︎ Infection rate
Approximately 4.5% of the population of metropolitan France had antibodies in May proving a past Covid-19 infection, according to the first estimates of a national survey. This proportion “is highest in Paris (9%), in the departments of the inner suburbs (9.5%) and the Haut-Rhin (10.8%)”, the places most affected by the first wave of the epidemic in March-April. Conversely, the regions with the lowest proportions are Burgundy-France Comté (1.5%), Normandy (1.9%), Occitania (1.9%) and New Aquitaine (2%).
The French health authority said on Friday that it was “in favour” of using antigenic tests to detect the new coronavirus, which are faster than the reference RT-PCR test.
