Highly regulated fishing

In order to preserve resources, sea urchin fishing has been subject to strict regulations for many years. It is only allowed for a certain period of time and must be carried out without an air bottle/diving equipment. The transport of sea urchins is strictly forbidden. They must be eaten on site.
In the 3 departments of the PACA region, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var and Alpes-Maritimes, as well as in the 3 departments of Occitania (ex Languedoc-Roussillon), Hérault, Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales, fishing is authorised from November 1st to April 15th. In Corsica, it is authorised from December 15th to April 15th.
The maximum quota is 4 dz per fisherman per day for the walkers.
Bon appétit
Unfortunately and due to the confinement restrictions since October 30th, it not be possible to go to the sea-side. Quite upsetting.
