This is it, decision taken. I now need to find out how to cancel and delete my account. It was almost impossible to do with the parent company (FB) itself. I am in fact told there are still “traces” on the net.

I have managed to disable the account but not delete it. I basically have not found out how to do it despite on-line help. It will do for the time being.
