Day 240 overall & 16th day of the second confinement phase

The Prime Minister’s announcements were like a cold shower. Yes, the containment was expected to be extended until December 1. The number of victims is growing. Contamination continues. Jean Castex revealed figures that hurt: at the moment one death out of four in our country is linked to Covid, one person enters the hospital for this reason every…thirty seconds! So, yes, to respect the instructions and only go out for a valid reason, to limit our social interactions and still deprive ourselves of theatres and cinemas, we knew we would not stop there and that we would have to continue.
But the Prime Minister did not hide the fact: we will only see on 1 December whether all the shops can once again welcome their customers and, above all, he said that restaurants, bars and sports halls will not reopen on that date. He said that we would probably need a certificate to go out until… 20 December.

➢ eShopping Carcassonne

As advertised, the so-called eShopping platform went on line yesterday.

But as far as I am concerned it is a waste of time and certainly not a eShopping platform at all. It is a simply a catalogue of a handful of shops who have registered. Basically, and I do not blame them, they are advertising themselves for free.

If you click on the link, you will be directed to a page with different categories.

If you click on one category, a page will open with a list of shops. I think the current average is a ludicrous one per category.

If you click on the indicated shop, you are directed to a page where there are more details concerning that shop and in particular their web page and telephone number and email details.

A lot of “political” noise for nothing.

✒︎ Daily walk

Quite a long tour yesterday along the river. I have done it quite a few times before but it was a first time in a clock wise direction. Pleasing is the fact that we have managed at least a 5km daily walk since the beginning of this lockdown.
