A very good Venezuelan friend of mine at Villanova University in Pennsylvania had one of those GTO’s. We shared it a lot and I can guarantee we did burn some rubber as our US friends would say.

The car had an unusual 3 gears + reverse manual gearbox.

we could not achieve too many miles per gallon which was not an issue in America 🇺🇸 although it was the time of the 1st oil crisis (1973). Anyone remembering this?
