Yesterday, as I was cleaning my office window (that does not happen too often), a sudden gust of wind swept in with such force that the office door slammed shut with a sound that made me think of a gunshot. As a result, some of the wood cracked, but more importantly, some of the lock mechanism exploded into pieces. A repair was impossible, so I went to the DIY shop to buy a new lock. I was very impressed with the choice available. I hope I chose the right thing and will now try to put it back together.
