Just for the day

Checked in my hotel hospital room for the day in order to receive, what appears to be a regular occurence these days, my dose of clean blood and possibly iron.

So far so good. Waiting for the results of the blood tests before transfusions can begin.

Could do with a coffee

Little wheels turning (in my head)

Wondering what to do regarding my non-responding computer.

Most annoying

I am convinced it is actually turned on and watching ME through the dark screen pretending to be asleep.

USB Rules

There are more and more electric and electronic devices which require USB connections so in a first step I have installed some USB plugs on my desk. Far more comfortable than reaching for a wall plug under the said desk.

Now I wish the latest USB C plugs were the standard for all

Souvenir? 1976

In fact, to tell the truth, I cannot remember much. The occasion: Our second wedding reception which took place in France (the 1st one was in England= in this superb location. Everything had been organised by my parents who invited hundreds of guests most of whom I did not know.

I remember standing at the entrance of the main hall shaking hands to welcome the guests for what it seems like hours.

Of course in those days very few pictures were taken so I have no way of finding out what really happened.

Mirabelle

In one of the corners of our garden in Germany we had a Mirabelle Plum tree which produced many fruits every year. So much that neighbours were given free access and could pick up as much as they desired. And they did. What was left was frozen for future use.

The new owners do it slightly differently to everyone’s delight. They actually produce a Mirabelle liquor from the fruits. Imagine our surprise when we received a bottle last Christmas. Weird to think that I planted that tree myself many moons ago. I have of course tasted it in the meantime and it is not bad.

Hike – Ancienne carrière de marbre

That was the plan

Brilliant day for it, the sun was shining, no wind, pleasantly mild. The drive to the starting point in Caunes Minervois is only 18km through nice country side.

It started OK, when reaching point 2 I felt terrible and we had to turn back and walk back down to the car. Quite a shame really but we’ll be back. I managed to take a few photos nevertheless.

It was the 1st time I was wearing my new hiking shoes and I was impressed.

I really love those

Je ne suis pas une grande fan de poires sauf lorsqu’elles sont préparées comme dans du gâteau au chocolat par exemple :p Mais j’ai toujours été …
