▫️Incidence rate for the country is reaching levels which should trigger a strict lockdown. The R0 number has not been updated since Jan 2nd and must be well over 1,0.

▫️Vaccinations – Next steps

As from January 14th, the over-75s will in turn be able to benefit from the vaccine. To do so, you will have to register from Thursday on the internet.

The first step of the vaccination is to find the nearest centre. To do this, simply go to the “santé.fr” website and type in the address to see a list of centres.

Then, the second step is to make an appointment. Either you go to the hospital’s website, or you call them directly, or a link takes you directly to an appointment booking platform. The government has chosen three of them: the market leader Doctolib, 42 million French people have an account there, but also Maiia, and Keldoc. It is possible to go directly to the sites of the vaccination centres to choose a niche.

On the internet, you will be offered several possibilities and it is up to you to choose. The appointment is 100% confirmed, there is no need to be called back. By going through Doctolib, you make an appointment directly for both doses.

New data has now been officially communicated

The number of vaccinations so far in France is improving slightly. The governement is keeping to the target of 1 Million by the end of January (or so). Fingers crossed. At the current rate of 50.000 per day, the target might be met.
