✏️ Health situation update

⦿ 🇫🇷 The contaminations have been increasing again. Here is the daily update on the Covid epidemic in France, with figures from Santé Publique France and the Ministry of Health.

CONTAMINATIONS
This Thursday 28 October, 6,461 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in 24 hours, according to figures from Santé Publique France, bringing the total to 7,146,755 confirmed cases since the start of the epidemic. The test positivity rate is 1.8%.

HOSPITALISATIONS
The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised was 6,541 (+52 in 24 hours), including 1,037 in intensive care units.

DEATHS
In 24 hours, 33 people died in hospital due to Covid. The total death toll since the beginning of the epidemic is 117,622, of which 90,739 have died in hospital.

VACCINATION
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in France, 51,147,229 people have received at least one injection, i.e. 76.3% of the total population, according to the French General Directorate of Health (DGS). 49,937,559 people now have a complete vaccination schedule, i.e. 74.5% of the total population.
