Irish adventures VI

DRAFT

Very good night in Cork, at last a comfy bed.

The plan today is to go in the morning to Blarney castle just outside town followed by a visit to the seaside town of Cobh and indeed it is exactly what we did. The sun was out which made it even more enjoyable.

Blarney Castle

Made it to the top

and then went for a long walk through the park and gardens

Cobh Town

Cathedral & Titanic’s last stop before the fatal crossing

By then it was lunch time which was enjoyed at the Titanic bar and restaurant located in the old ticket office and boarding area.

Afterwards, we took the Titanic experience tour

before heading back to our B&B in Cork town

Went out in the evening in search of a decent bar or pub

and found one a few hundred metres away and enjoyed a last drink for the day

Lovely Cathedral at Cobh – it’s an impressive sight if I remember correctly 12 years since I visited
